STUDENT INFORMATION AND HOUSE RULES

Welcome to Stibbard House!  I hope you enjoy your time with us!  Please read and observe the following rules and information.

*This is a quiet house.  No parties, and no noise or guests after 10:30 p.m.  Music is to be played only on headphones after 10:30 p.m.  Overnight guests are not allowed.

*Feel free to hang posters etc on the walls, but do not use nails or tape.  Use blue poster gum instead.  I also have to insist that you don’t rearrange the furniture; my experience is that damage always results.

*The rent is due on the first day of each month, before 12 noon.

*One full month’s  notice is required when you leave.

*The kitchens, bathrooms and common areas are professionally cleaned once a week.  In between students are expected to clean up after themselves for the convenience of all.  Do not leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight; wash them promptly after you use them.  Please clean the surfaces you use and wipe up crumbs etc.  Wipe down the stove top.

*Don’t do laundry between 10:30 pm and 8 am.

*We are serious about recycling.  If you are not familiar with Blue Box and food scraps recycling, ask and I will explain.

*No smoking on the property, and no candles or flames of any sort please.  You may use a small refrigerator in your room, but no kettles, corn poppers, microwaves, toasters etc.  Cooking in your room is not allowed.

*Please always use the exhaust fan when cooking, even if you are only boiling water.  Otherwise the smoke detectors will be set off.  Don’t do any heavy cooking after about 10:30 pm.  Deep frying is not allowed under any circumstances.

*The light in the stove range hood stays on all night as a night light.  The last person up at night should turn out the other lights.

*Please let me know right away if anything needs attending to.  The best way to contact me is by text; my cell number is 250.812.2915.  I live on the third floor and I am usually home.

*There are four dogs living with me on the third floor and they will make welcoming noises at you for the first few days.   If you let them in your room please be sure they do not remain in there when you go out.

Again, Welcome!

Jerry
